Car wheel knocking?
The back right wheel on my car is making a knocking noise whenever I slow down by putting the brakes on. I've taken the wheel off,the brakes seem fine,I didn't see anything loose or messed up. Does anybody know what could be wrong with it? I heard it could be a belt in the tire,or barrings,not even sure what that is.
1; check both rear wheels, sound travels under a car. Could be a loose brake cylinder, two bolts hold the cylinder to the backing plate, check torque. 2; Shock/strut mounts loose. 3; Rotate tires and see if the sound moves. 4; Drums/Rotters need to be turned.
