DIY, Handymen, HELP! I want to replace my bathroom doors with wall mounted sliding doors, what do I do?
I Currently have a 'jack and jill' master bath that connects to both my master bedroom and my home office on the other side. The problem is that the bathroom doors open in and really cramp and clutter the space. I have completed a nice bath remodel complete with nice tiled shower and whirlpool tub, I do not want the doors blocking the view or cluttering the room.
At first I thought pocket doors, but that is too difficult as we don't want to tear into walls etc. While searching online I came across wall mounted sliding interior door kits made by johnson hardware. The kits are reasonable but I would like to know if there are any other ways of going about this. How do I make the door really tight and secure feeling, when this sliding door closes I would like it to shut the same way a normal well installed bathroom door would. I'm also confused about how to make the door jamb look right etc.
Please share any information, products, tips, pics and/or websites that will help. Thnks
