I have a 97 chevy s10 pickup that has a vibration. After months of spending money, etc, I still have it.?
It has aftermarket wheels(mangels is the brand). I have came to the conclusion that the wheels are not centered on the hub properly. Someone suggested spacers to center them correctly. When I look on line it looks like spacers only move the wheels out a little. Would they possibly help or should I just get new wheels?? thanks
Wheels have been balanced about 7 times(inside and out). Front end alignment twice. Many other things. Firestone indy 500 tires. Cant get them to check tires without breaking down and I have to pay for it.
Vibrations can be caused by many things. First make certian that the rims and tires were balanced properly, and have the tires checked for runout, debris, and ensure that all the rims arent bent. If you have a bent rim, or one is out of round, there is your peoblem. Remember, you can balance an egg, so even if they are balanced properly, a bent rim will cause a massive vibration!
