How long can I leave my pet dog in my hot car with the windows closed?
When I go shopping or when sometimes when I go to work I sometimes have to leave my pet golden retriever in the car.
This is kinda cool as the do helps "guard" the car from miscreants, ne'er-do-wells and chav's.
Its does sometimes get hot (maybe 100 farenheit) outside.
How many hours can my dog stan without getting ill?
I might be able to start giving him water. Especially if over 4 hours.
I LOVE MY DOG AND WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY and well cared for.
I know where I live that if you leave a pet in a car and the outside temperature reaches a certain level (I forget what exactly) you will be fined with cruelty to animals and the humane society may take your pet away from you.
It's cruel and inhumane to leave your pet in conditions like that, mere minutes can lead to illness in a pet. When it's 100 degrees outside it can range from 120 to 140 degrees in the car depending on the strength of the sun on a given day.
You should be leaving the animal at home where he/she can be comfortable.
