How to get a bamboo wood floor to shine???!?
I just moved into an apartment not long ago, and the whole place is set with dark bamboo wood floors. The thing about the finish to this wood- is that it's almost a satin or matte finish, with not much shine unlike typical lacquer-type coated wood floords. To get a few hundred bucks off my rent each month I told my landlord that I could sweet and mop all the floors in this building. 1. For some reason dirt is not easily picked up from this type of floor- mopping just leaves mopped looking dried dirt (any good mop ideas?) 2. Even when I get the floors in my own place very clean, they have a vague glow at best, Any products out there like Orange-glo that could help leave some shine? And what's the best way to get the dirt up without mopping 8 times over

I own Eco Flor of Chicago. You should vacuum the floors first with a felt tip wand. This will insure removal of all the the dust and dirt. Do not use a lot of water as this will cause the board to cup and crown possibly buckling. Use a towel and mist the floor with a spray bottle wiping it up quickly. Cleaned this way the vacuuming should do most of the time. If you "shine up" the floors they will likely look dirty quicker.
