Does someone know where to find this repair manual?
I have been trying to find a rebuild or repair manual for a Buick engine, specifically a 231 CID 3.8L V6, commonly found in 70's Regal and Skylark. Does anyone know where I can find this particular piece of automotive literature? Or does anyone have one they don't need? Or anything similar?
Haynes is a beginnners manual, it will show you the basics but if you want it done and done right.. take a peek on Ebay, youll be looking for the "Shop Manual" for the 70's regal or skylark.. it will cover in massive detail exactly how to do it, and can be bought for a few bucks more than the Haynes manual. Put it this way.. the average Haynes manual has between 100-200 pages.. the shop manuals tend to go into the thousands for pages. Take it as you want it... You can also get an account at alldata.com that has the shop manuals online for ya. You can try your local library as well.. sometimes they get shop manuals to store.. the options are there so its up to you.. But I know for an engine build I wouldnt fully trust a Haynes manual
Good Luck
