What's a good cleaner for exhaust tips?
I have a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T, and it looks like my dual exhaust tips are welded to the pipe from the muffler, so I don;t think they're chrome-plated tips. If they are steel, what's a good product to clean them (to get the black nasty exhaust off) and then what's a good product to shine them?
I'm not sure what part of the country your in but they make a polish called WICKED.it will clean and polish your exhaust tips in one shot, cost of product is about 20.00.u.s.shine lasts for long time.sold by alto of auto shops and truck stops,also try potability and kenworth dealers.they carry this product.steel wool will dull the finish.use Wicked or any good chrome and aluminum polish plus a terry cloth to buff out for good shine. another good polish and cleaner is called PURPLE STUFF.it does the same for a slightly lower cost and it guarantees to remove the bluing associated with heat marks on chrome and stainless steel exhaust.
