93 Honda Del Sol - Replaced Radiator Hose - Now what?
I had a pin hole in my upper radiator hose, so I purchased a new one and installed it. I have been told that before I drive I need to bleed the air trapped in the engine. How do I do this?
I tried warming up the engine with the radiator cap off, but the coolant goes UP and splashes out of the top. All the How-to's I read say the coolant level is supposed to go DOWN as air is released. Can anyone help?
The coolant level in the overflow reservoir (the white plastic jug) is what will go down. Keep the radiator cap screwed on the radiator itself.
Just start the car up, let it idle for couple of minutes, go for a drive (don't beat on the car) let the car sit for a while to cool down, and then check out the level of coolant in the overflow reservoir, add more if needed.
