where does a float needle go?
i got a souped 318 with a wimpy ass carb but i dont kno where the float need goes of if its any good, can sum 1 sed me sum links showing where it goes?
and another question. no gas gits sucked up into the fuel pump, shud i attach an electric pump on there and run it for awhile? i can blow in it and the tank will make a bubbling sound so the gas is there.
this car is also for sale in gold beach oregon its a plymouth duster kinda looks like a dodge dart alil
DUDE! You have a whole keyboard. Use it. You don't do yourself much of a favor making the people who are going to try to answer your questions interpret your meaning of either poor grammar or bad spelling.
The needle is the male part of the fuel valve inside the carburetor, the female part being the seat.
It is situated just inside of the air-horn behind the fuel inlet fitting. It has a float attached to a pivot pin that rises and settles according to the fuel level inside the carburetor.
If the engine has been sitting for a while, there is a good chance that the fuel pump diaphragm has rotted and no longer will move a fluid. If you cannot draw a vacuum on the suction side of the pump, replace it.
