Is it possible to import a modern Alfa Romeo into the US? Has it ever been done?

I know it would have to go through customs and be modified to meet the DOT standards. Would this be possible for under 10 grand? Has it ever been done?

You should wait a year because in 2010 the Alfa Romeo returns to America with the Fiat and very probably with the Iveco.

These are the cars that arrive in America:

Alfa Romeo: Mi.To. and Milano (will be called so in Italy, you should have another name).

Fiat: 500, Panda Cross (most probably under the brand Jeep) and Grande Punto

Iveco: Massif

And thinks that the Alfa Romeo Mi.To. be built by you, in Canada!
