What was the last year that Ford F-pickups were available with a carburetor (not fuel injected)?
This is a trick question of sorts... because carbs were phased out from 1985 to 1987 according to what I know. The phase out depended on the model of truck and the engine it had. For example... in 1985, the 302 was fuel injected on the F-150... but you could still order an engine with a carb for induction if you wanted it. Ultimately though... all gasoline powered engines of all types were fuel injected and no carbs were available as an option. By the 1988 model year trucks, Ford simply said no, they're not available and to the best of my knowledge, the era of the carbureted engine was over for good at FOMOCO. So, I suppose you could say that 1987 was the final year.
